CLIENT TESTIMONIES

“What a wonderful, educational, and enlightening experience! Coaching has given me renewed self-confidence and great parenting techniques! I feel so much more able to raise my children happily with limits set and discipline viewed in a different perspective. I am much more capable to help my children identify and address their feelings and the result is a wonderful family harmony and peace between siblings. Our family is closer and life is calmer. My job is to help my children grow and learn. With Debbie’s help, I am now able to do that.” T. – Rejuvenated Mom of Gloucester County, New Jersey

“Dear Deborah:  Thank you so much for your amazing presentation on “Soothing the Stress Beast” on August 20, 2010.  All the ladies were really interested in the material you provided and especially liked the “relaxation exercise”.  Since that day, I have heard many, many positive comments about how much they enjoyed themselves and how they plan to use the techniques in their daily lives.

I will be contacting you again for a mutually convenient date for another speaking engagement in the near future.  I look forward to seeing you again.”

Sincerely,  C.L.A.     Program Consultant

“My relationship with my adoptive daughter was difficult and frustrating.  After working with Debbie, I feel much closer to my daughter and much more in tune with her needs.  Debbie addressed my dilemmas with my child by providing me with supportive strategies that I am already successfully putting into practice.  These strategies are not only working for me, but they are actually helping my daughter!  At last we are beginning to have fun and enjoy each other!”                 Adoptive Mom of two          Williamstown, New Jersey

“Our parent coach,  Deborah, was great to work with!  She really helped my husband and I identify what we needed to focus on in order to better help our high needs children.  She valued my input, and made suggestions for a plan that suited our family’s needs well.  We feel she had knowledge, care, and understanding for our unique situation.  Our road may not be easy, but with Deborah’s support we are going in the right direction again!”                        J. I am glad to finally be validated on how children with mental health issues, and all children should be treated!  The information in this training has helped me to understand myself better.  I feel I can now understand the children I work with in a new way.   You helped me to realize that every child, no matter what their issues, needs to be loved, respected, and validated in their feelings.  I am overwhelmed with wanting to share this knowledge with everyone I come in contact with.  THANK YOU, DEB!                                  B.A.  Professional Child Caregiver     Camden County, New Jersey

” This seminar has helped me to better understand all children, not only those with behavioral issues.  What a remarkable eye-opener for me!   Understanding brain development seems to be the key to so much–Why is this not taught to teachers?    This information has helped me to understand children and their outbursts, and my role as a parent and educator to help calm them.”         B. “I think these classes were fantastic!  It was so reassuring  to share with other parents  and know I wasn’t alone.  Although hard to implement in a large family, these techniques are really simple.   Using them has made a major difference in the way my family functions.  We are all much happier!   Thanks!”            Adoptive Mom in Gloucester County, New Jersey

“I was able to learn how to not only improve my own parenting skills, but also share with my wife, and have a greater positive impact on the lives of the children in our church and community.  The classes were presented well.  The informatin opened up my understanding to new and different methods in relating to children and even adults.  I recommend that all parents take this course.”             Pastor R. 1. MY SITUATION IS MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE ONES I HAVE READ ABOVE,MY CHILD WAS SEXUALY ABUSED AS A CHILD SHE WAS 7 YRS OLD BY ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS. sHE KEPT TO HERSELF UNTIL SHE WAS 19YS OLD, SHE IS NOW 41YRS OLD AND THROUGH THE YEARS THE SYMTOMS OF THIS TERRIBLE ABUSE HAVE REARED THEIR UGLY HEAD. sHE SUFFERED FROM ANOREXIA, MAKES TERRIBLE CHOICES IN RELATIONSHIPS,FORTUNATELY SHE NEVER MARRIED ANY OF THEM, SHE IS STILL SINGLE. FOR A TIME SHE LIVED WITH US HER PARENTS BUT 12YRS AGO HER FATHER DIED SUDDENLY SOMEONE SHE WAS VERY MUCH ATTACHED TO. AFTER HER FATHER DIED SHE BECAME ABUSIVE TO ME HER MOTHER UNTIL I FINALLY HAD TO MOvE OUT AND GO LIVE WITH ONE OF MY SONS, HER ABUSE WAS PHYSICAL,MENTAL AND VERBAL TO ME. aFTER READING AN ARTICLE ABOUT ONE OF jERRY sANDUSKYS VICTIMS I COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPIEENCE IT WAS FOR HER. sHE HAS BEEN IN THERAPY FOR 20 YEARS BUT NEVER REALLY GOT ANY HELP UNTIL SHE STARTING SEEING THE THERIPIST SHE IS SEEING NOW. THEY ARE WORKING ON HER ANGER AND AGGRESSION AND HOPEFUL;LY SHE IS ON HER WAY TO A RECOVERY. I KNOW THIS ISN’T REALLY What THIS REPLY BOX IS FOR BUT HOPEING THAT I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH A PROBLEM LIKE THIS THANKS FOR LISTENING . WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP,NJ

    • Yes. You are not alone. I appreciate your comment and know that I am listening. You and your daughter have endured so much over the years. It sounds as though you gained some new clarity about your daughters experiences from the recent sandusky trial. Until recently much was not known or understood about trauma and its profound impact on children and adolecents. There is so much shame and secrecy surrounding this type of abuse, many children carry these secrets into adulthood before they find someone they trust enough to share it. What about you? Have you received help or support from the mental health community for yourself as you process these painful event concerning your daughters experiences and the losses you have? Where do you find strength today?
      Deborah
